Reframing the Inquiry Approach to Information Literacy
Due to the cancellation of the PLD on Tuesday 17th March, 2020, a webinar and PPT slides have been made available for all members of AISWA Libraries.
Presenter: Leonie McIlvenny, Manager of Library & Innovation
Abstract: While we are all keen advocates of inquiry learning, we can no longer approach information literacy in a narrow way. The push for problem-based learning and design thinking requires a broader view of the essential skills needed by students as they navigate the ‘world of information” and we prepare them for an uncertain future. This workshop will explores some of the new trends in pedagogy, technology, curriculum and “future skills’ development to help us reframe the focus of our library programmes.
