satisfaction in both the small and
more significant achievements that take place daily and which help
to connect the Collaborative Learning Centre Library to the School
and the wider school community.
The Nomination form provided a list of criteria against which the
nominator could measure the candidate’s worth. The third of
these prompts will serve as one example of Greg’s excellence
in Teacher Librarianship.
Improved communication within the school community
The whole problem of CCGS Teacher Librarians trying to entice subject
teachers to plan cooperatively and to collaborate in shared learning
and teaching ventures has almost become a thing of the past. A new
era is dawning! Not entirely single-handed but with vocal support
and encouragement from several interested parties, Greg, having
invested a lot of time and thought to the project, has begun the
process of changing a body of collective thinking from the negative
to the positive.
On Greg’s behalf, I take pleasure in relating that his efforts,
in a comparatively short space of time, have achieved very strong
prospects of turning a dull and diminishing situation into a bright
and bustling whole of school approach to collaborative learning
and teaching across the curriculum.
