We aim to be proactive and forward thinking in keeping abreast of change in school libraries and to provide quality professional learning for members which enables them to be dynamic and innovative within their school communities.

  • Congratulations to Penny Worthington (Mazenod College) who was elected unopposed as the President of AISWA Libraries Inc. for 2009 at the AGM of the association, held at Mercedes College on the 13th November. Judy Christopher (St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls) was elected Secretary, and Greg Lindorff (Christchurch Grammar School) took on the role of Treasurer.     Thank you to the Committee of 2008 for their dedication and hard work, particularly Cathy Dale and Margaret Chapple who shared the role of President in 2008, Mimma Sardi (Secretary), Sue Cameron (Treasurer), Dee Cunninghame (Newsletter Editor) and also Margaret Chapple, Judy Christopher and Joan Overman for their contributions and negotiations in regard to the AISWA Libraries Database Consortium.

    AISWA Libraries is committed to offering its members exciting and relevant professional learning opportunities. If you have any ideas or requirements for professional learning please forward these to Penny Worthington, or any committee member, for consideration by the committee in planning the AISWA Libraries program for 2009.
